The Youth STEAM Innovation Challenge (YSIC) is a new interdisciplinary competition for junior High students that aims to foster creative thinking and teamwork skills.

YSIC Mission Statements

#1: Integration of the Arts into STEM fields

To promote a more creative and holistic approach to learning, YSIC is a 5 hour long competition in which students complete a series of series of challenges based upon Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM). All of our challenges have been designed to include a minimum of two of the five pillars.

#2: Thinking Outside the Box

YSIC is structured in an open-ended manner, with a score system designed to credit the most innovative and original solutions. All YSIC challenges are designed to have multiple correct solutions.
