About the Event
The 2022 Engineering Workshop (EW) hosted by TeamUP Science is a full day online event that invites high school and junior high students to explore sessions in Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, and Electronics & Computer Engineering. As well, students will have the opportunity to hear guest speakers talking about their experience in industry, as well as engineering at the University of Alberta.
Engineering is a unique field rooted in understanding the interconnectedness between all things, and how to build from them! To give students a taste of what this feels like, each year, TeamUp Science hosts a unique workshop with various events centred around teamwork, building, and innovation. For 2022, we have curated a unique program that will feature interactive workshops covering the tasks found within different engineering disciplines and a competitive aspect with design challenges in which winners will receive gift cards! Engineering Workshop kits will be provided in order to provide an interactive and hands-on experience in the comfort of your own home!
Join us on March 12 and 13 (2 identical full-day sessions available) where we will be announcing prizes. We welcome you to take a glimpse into the fascinating world of engineering!
This year, we will feature 4 different engineering disciplines:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
The workshop will be run by undergraduate engineering students who are familiar with the field and are able to answer any questions you may have!
EW will be hosted on March 12 and 13, 2022, from 8:00am-5:00pm each day. *Note, each day is identical so there is no need to register for more than one day.
Bursaries to reimburse the cost of registration are available for a limited number of students with financial need (more information is provided following registration).
**Please note, in the event that a refund of the ticket purchase is required, the $2 ticket processing fee will not be refunded.
