About the Event
The 2022 Health Sciences Workshop (HSW) hosted by TeamUP Science is an online event that will last approximately 5 hours per session. HSW invites high school and junior high students to explore the different characteristics, expertise, and techniques of the many medical sciences. Students will delve into activities centered around fields like dentistry, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, dietetics, medical laboratory sciences, speech language pathology, occupational therapy, and more, while at the same time, interacting with current students in those medical professions in our stations as well as through our guest speaker panel. Our unique workshop will include interactive stations, thrilling challenges, and team based activities!
HSW will be hosted on January 29 and 30, 2022, offering a total of four possible morning/afternoon sessions to choose from. The morning sessions will take place from 8:00am - 1:00pm, while the afternoon sessions will take place from 12:00pm - 5:00pm. The guest speaker panel will take place between 12:00pm - 1:00, so that both afternoon and morning session students will be able to join. *Note, each session is identical so there is no need to register for more than one session.
Bursaries to reimburse the cost of registration are available for a limited number of students with financial need (more information is provided following registration).
