Previous ISC events have been hosted at the University of Alberta. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have converted our event to an entirely online format. This year, students will be participating in virtual labs consisting of Physiology, Organic Chemistry and Computer science concepts throughout the weekend long event.Additionally, students will be invited to participate in several virtual workshops to learn about other scientific topics such as synthetic biology, circuit design and more! There will be a keynote presentation with the Faculty of Science’s Dean, Matina Kalcounis-Rueppell.
Awards
Over $750 in cash awards will be given out. Awards will be given to the participant finishing in first place in each lab. Lab marks will be calculated based on the combination of both laboratory assignments along with each lab subject’s component of the Central Case. There are additional prizes awarded such as Most Interdisciplinary and Highest Kahoot Score.
