About the Event
The Youth STEAM Innovation Challenge (YSIC) is an interdisciplinary competition for middle school students (Grades 7-9) that is meant to encourage out-of-the-box thinking and encourage the incorporation of Art into STEM. The event occurs at Edmonton Clinic Health Academy on the University of Alberta North Campus, from 9am to 5pm. The day is filled with 6 different STEAM based workshops where points can be earned per pair of students, top scoring students will be awarded an additional prize according to their placement (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Get ready to have a fun day solving puzzles and learning new science! All students will receive a goodie bag and lunch will be provided with each ticket purchase.
